Kickstarter Launching on June 30th!

We are finally ready to start selling our products for pre-order through a Kickstarter campaign! It’s been a long time coming and we are thrilled to be here. Pre-orders will start on Thursday, June 30th at 11am EST and we can’t wait! 

What is Kickstarter Campaign? 

Kickstarter’s mission is “to bring creative projects to life”. They provide a platform for people with ideas to raise money and sell products, in advance, to people who believe in the mission, vision and concept of the creators.

When you become a “backer” of a Kickstarter project, you pre-order a “reward” which is the brand’s debut product that still needs to be manufactured. You get the item at a discount off retail and in exchange you are willing to wait for the creator to send you the end product based on the timeline they share. 

You can also become a “backer” of the project without purchasing the “reward” - meaning you just vibe with the concept and want to support a creator without getting anything in return.

Why did I choose Kickstarter? 

Real talk, in the world of clothing manufacturing you can’t start the process without having cash up front. The manufacturer needs money to get the raw materials and begin production. 

I placed my first order in December 2021 and the shipment will not be ready until July 2022. That’s how long it took to do all the steps including: knit the fabric, print the fabric, source all the other components like the zippers and tags, cut the fabric and sew the garments as well as approve every step along the way. 

I have many ideas for Jhula for new styles and prints, but cash on hand up front is what’s going to allow me to see them through and build the brand more quickly. 

Through your support in the campaign, whether in exchange for a product or not, you’re helping me prove my brand concept and giving me the means to keep gaining momentum and growing. After the campaign ends, I will be able to bring the items direct to consumer on my online store at full price and donate a portion of sales to organizations that support mothers, which has always been the goal.
